Dr. Ricardo Adames is the Medical Director of Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. His specialties are geriatrics, acute and chronic illness, and diabetic care. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases.

Dr. Adames completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Wycoff Heights Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York, in 1993. He then completed his fellowship in Infectious Disease at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, Inc. in Jamaica, New York, in 1995.

He is Chairman of the Infectious Control Committee at Valley Regional Medical Center, Chief of the Board of South Texas Independent Physicians' Association, as well as Chief of Medicine-Interim at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Adames enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys basketball, tennis, fishing and gardening.

Dr. Pelly, a native of Cuba, graduated from Medicina Autonoma de Mexico and is a member of the American Medical Directors Association. A father of three, his interests include travel, hot air ballooning, and teaching.
