Dr. Mark Heard is the Medical Director of Cuero Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He attended undergraduate school and medical school at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was Chief Resident in family medicine at TTUSM, Amarillo, in 1984 and 1985 and is a past president and current board member of the Texas Medical Directors Association. He is Board Certified by the American Medical Directors Association as well as the American Board of Family Practice with added qualifications in geriatrics. His specialty is family medicine.

Dr. Heard and his family live in Cureo and are active in community organizations. In his spare time he enjoys Baylor football and reading.
