Dr. Abraham Cano
Born and raised in Harlingen, Texas, Dr. Abraham Cano always knew he wanted to help people. He attended the University of Houston where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1967. He married shortly after graduation and he and his wife had four daughters. He realized while in pharmacy school that he really wanted to become a doctor. He attended the Universidad Autonomas de Guadalajara School of Medicine and graduated in 1976. He received training at the School of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey with clinical training in medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics and psychiatry and received a license from the State of New York in Medicine and Surgery. He did his internship at Hackensack General Hospital in Hackensack, New Jersey.
With a desire to get back home to Texas he was accepted to do his externship at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, Texas, Kelsey Seyboid Clinic in Houston, Texas and Driscoll Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. He then completed the Family Residency Program at Memorial Medical Center in Corpus Christi and was Board Certified as a Family Practice Specialist in 1980.
Dr. Cano is a member of The American Academy of Family Physicians, The American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, The Texas Medical Association, The Cameron Willacy County Medical Society, The South Texas Physician Alliance and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He serves on numerous committees at local hospitals and has been recognized as Physician of the Year in his hometown and has received The American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award in Continuing Medical Education.
Dr. Cano practice is based in Harlingen, Texas and consists primarily of preventive family medicine and geriatrics with a special interest in diabetic care.
His hobbies and interests are reading, photography, spending time with family and friends, fishing and an occasional game golf.
Dr. Luis Reynoso
Dr. Luis Reynoso is the Medical Director at Harlingen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and one of Valley Diagnostic Clinic’s outstanding physicians. He graduated from medical school in Peru, South America, and completed his residency program at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, New York, which is associated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of several committees at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Dr. Reynoso is a soccer enthusiast and also likes to spend time with his two sons.
