Dr. Robert MurphyDr. Robert Murphy

Robert R. Murphy, MD came to Kingsville, Texas in 1977 lured by the image of South Texas ranching life complete with palomino horses, hunting and fishing. It would be many decades before his dream of owning horses would be fulfilled.

In the meantime, he worked hard caring for patients and raising four fine children with his wife Vicky who sadly passed away in 2000. His dedication to the community and his role serving on communities for the local hospital are evidence by his fine character.

Dr. Murphy has since remarried, increasing the number of children to seven in addition to many grandchildren. He has, however, finally realized his original dream and counts among his many blessings six horses, a couple of donkeys and multiple dogs and cats. In the evening, he can be seen astride his incredible palomino horse, Rolex, with hooves flashing and wind whipping his hair, realizing a dream begun over thirty years ago.
